OBD Modules for everything
Hi guys,
I notice if you'd like to change certain parameters to the on board modules of the ECU ( I think it's called STAR ) there's many OBD tools that will change just one or two things, is there one that connects to a smartphone or can i use an OBD2->USB and download Xentry to change for ex. Top Speed, Eco Start/Stop default settings, DVD-In motion, Ride-Height, etc..

My platform is a w205 and i just can't fathom spending $200-$600 per OBD2 device
I've read in multiple forum posts that you can't do as much to the MB that you can to BMW but if these little devices are doing that but then i saw this video (

So maybe there's a way?

Probably not since the things you want changed are actually PROGRAMMING changes to your particular car not simple hidden settings.
Peeps use the OBD to change the stock program... like ECO OFF it is programming change done thru a OBD2 dongle.

Thanks for your reply. Is there anyway to do the later myself? Instead of buying that $300 device?

Suggest you start reading some threads on these various upgrades...
and who does the programming... and how they figured it out... not like MB said here is our code so you can modify your car to do whatever you want...
They had to hack into it.

Thanks for replying but check the amazon link, have you seen these before? that's also how people tune their cars. It's not a hack its a change in value in the data for ex. BMW is nicht_aktiv to just aktiv. that's all you change
