SLR engine picture
I did post this in the SLR forum but due to the engineering visable I and low veiwing in the SLR forum... I wanted to share it here. I do not know the details of the picture. I would love to see any others from this series. I found it on a small Lexus Forum I visit and its properties do give any clues as to where it is from. Interestingly, it is not the same intake as shown in some of the SLR pictures but is clearly the Supercharged SLR engine with side exhausts. Nice headers...

I wonder if anyone will try to remove the star to increase airflow to the engine???
I have seen some neat pics of this motor. It utilizes a split crankcase, in which you lay the crank in the upper half, and bolt the bottom half on it. No separate main caps, they are all made in one peice. The SLR really is a race car. Really cool stuff involved in this vehicle, I wonder if it will last?
