Kleemann E50K vs. stock E55

Hi..

I was just wondering if someone has any solid info on how a Kleemann modified E50K compares with a stock E55... On paper, the E50K has significantly more hp and torque, especially if you go for a stage 7 or 8 upgrade. Can a fully modified E50K with kompressor/ECU remapping/sports camshafts/headers etc and a limited slip differential be a better performer than a stock E55?

Thanks

TamerS - If the combination has more HP, yes. You might also compare the car weights, the breaks, and the suspension of the two cars, as this comparison will determine how the higher HP will be used. Sounds like a fun and expensive project! - Bob

I read an article about E50 KS8(600 ps) vs
Kleemann E55 stage-2 (560 ps) in local car magazine.

The E50 KS8 beats stock W211/E55 (476 ps) no doubt.
but there's still a gap to reach the stage-2 E55's performance.

Check the Kleemann web information
you can see E55 stage-3(610 ps) is much faster than W203/C55K (600 ps) after 60 mph.

Interesting ! :p
