Best thing to do is climb under the car and take some measurements.

Magnaflo are ok mufflers. They have lots of advertising but the last flow numbers I saw from their muffler was mid pack.

I just put a 17" Magnaflow. Two in two out and I love the sound, I also removed the factory resenator. I had the same set up on my 540i and people really loved it.

It has a nice deep sound when you start the car. After that is very stock like, until you slam the gas pedal down and then all Hell breaks loose

Nice do you have a pic of your exhaust work?

Magnaflow usually are stocked at local muffler shops. There should be plenty of online dealer that will do mail order. They cost about $89-$159 per muffler. If that's too cheap for you, you can try Borla mufflers with the Million mile warranty.

Magnaflow flow rate should be way better than OEM muffer shouldn't be any less than the high end MB tuner muffler.

I thinkt he high end MB tuner muffler build the canister to tune exhaust tone to desired sport sound plus also using high quality material and craftsmens give it a high price.

If you leave the stock resonator it should be quiet enough but still give that V8 rumble if you have a V8 with dual exhaust.

I replaced the stock muffler on my 95 sl600 with a magnaflow muffler. I also removed the resonator. Before I did this, you couldn't hear the engine at all, it was like driving an electric car. Now it sounds like an F1 car. It is definitely louder and it performs better. The louder exhaust took some getting used to, but now I think I'd rather listen to the exhaust note than my stereo! There's no better sound than a V-12 exhaust.
