c180 2002 gearbox selector problem
I have recently purchased a c180 2002 wdc203 done 14k on the clock. This is a near new sedan and have come up with a problem with the gear selector when driven on NORMAL (W) mode.
It has a problem in initially accelerating, not selecting gear one. Peddle down gives no response and then slams into gear causing anti skid logo to appear. Also problems accelerating and changing gears. No problems in SNOW (s) mode, as i believe it initially starts on gear 2.
My mechanic says it has something to do with the selector unit.(electrical) as he cannot see anything wrong with the mechanical side of things.
Has anybody come across this sort of problem before and how have they fixed it?
As you can see from the description that car is near, yet this fault is coming up, am not sure what the code is but i believe it is a Electronic Gear Selector Module fault that is not resetting.
