Thanks for shooting and posting these. I did see them on the other forum and enjoyed them.

We have the same machine! They are the way to go! I like your R photos also, were those taken in Detroit?

I should be so lucky...no they are copied from a variety of sites over time and posted for others to see. I have yet to see the real thing but I have placed a pre-order deposit with my dealer and hope to be one of the first to own a new R Class in the Fall.

I am waiting for the iMac Rev B to be announced by Apple ( rumored to be 4/1 - 4/15) and I will One Click it and add that to my PB 17. PC users don't know what they are missing...:-)

Yea I think the iMac is going to be my next purchase as well, but it will be probably in the fall.

Have you been able to get an option list and stuff for the R or that hasn't been released yet? you getting a 350 or 500?

Color is still undecided. The black looks terrific but I am not a fan of black and what it takes to keep it sparkling clean all the time. I love the Pewter I have now and really like the Sterling Silver of the concept cars. Once they release the colors available and interiors I will take on that task.

As far as options go, I have read the R Class in Detail article and made notes of what will be available. However it is hard to know what things they will "package" and what things will be stand alone options. But I have made a list...bear with me it is long:

Active Light Sys/Bi-Xenon
Comand APS/Nav/Sound
Easy Pack Tailgate
Keyless Go
Airmatic
Multi Zone Thermotronic
6 Disc Changer
Parktronic
Exterior Chrome Pkg
Premium Int. Lighting/Appointment Pkg
Infra Red Reflecting Glass
Wood Wheel
Multicontour Seats
Panoramic Roof
18" Wheels

These will all be options on the R350. I do not want a V8 unless they perhaps have the new 4 valve V8 engine available in the Fall. I estimate about $65,000 or about $15,000 in Options over the base of $50,000.

I posted the above on another forum. There is no firm list yet but this is from the DC Details on the R Class on the German Car Fan site.
