Air vents in the very rear sometimes and other times no?

THey put up the R on mbusa, and not sure if anyone else noticed. In every other picture before today the very back occupants had airvents but on the special site there are several pictures that show no airvents but a little nook... Is that optional? What's the deal? See pics...

2011 E350 Cabriolet..White and Almond Mocha
If you select the 3 Zone Thermotronic option, that includes additional air vents for the 3rd row passengers. So the shots with the vents have the Thermotronic.

The rear passengers should have vents regardless if you ask me.

I agree but this is the way MB has designed the system. Pay $1050 for the upgraded system and you get the vents in the 3rd row, 2nd row climate controls, additional sensors, laminated windshield/side front passenger windows, etc.
