My new R350
I just picked up my R350, Pewter and charcoal inside. I love it. I have virtually owned every single MBZ classes from C to SL. This R-class is wonderful. It's quiet and rides very nice, comparable to S-class. The R-350 is amazingly quick despite its weight. I chose 350 vs 500 because of MPG, and I have CL-55 so if I wanted to zoom I can drive that.
I got a great deal thru the winter special event. $2000 off invoice for me and first lease payment was compliments of MBZ leasing. The MSRP was $62000, but i got it for around $54000. At that price, this car is not that expensive.

I am considering getting one of these and would greatly appreciate any input. Thanks!

What city are you in? I know my dealer was discounting the new R as much as 8 to 9K during the Winter event and in some instances more.
Of course I'm waiting for the AMG haha. But the 350 and 500 I drove very quick for being such large vehicles.

I got mine R350 at invoice minus $3000 from the winter special. My MSRP for R350 was $62,000, I put most of the options available. My lease payment is $800/month for 36 months with $1500 down payment. Mileage is 15K/year
I think R350 is very quick for its size. I didn't want to get R500 because the engine is older and i'm sure next year MBZ will load either 550 engine or 450 engine.

What's up this is my first post. I work for MBUSI here in Alabama. I just got a R 350. It's Blk/blk with the sunroof pkg., 18" 10-spoke wheels, harman kardon pkg., sirius radio, and power liftgate. We get a two-year lease on them with 15000 miles/year. Mine is only about $370/month.

Do you know if the AMG version of the R (and the ML and GL) is going to be done in the USA in Alabama? Have you heard anything yet about that? Or is that Super Secret Spy Stuff? LOL

I will sometimes buy a non-AMG version of a new model - since they are usually available first. I will then drive it for a month or so, deciding how much I like or don't like it (more "appreciate it" than "like it" -- how can one not "like" a MBZ?). I call this my "Extended Test Drive". As soon as I have decided that I appreciate the car enough to place one or more in my various garages, into one or more of my various 'slots' or types of cars needed; I order my AMG version(s), and drive the non-AMG car until my ordered AMG version arrives.
I do very much prefer the AMG MBZ over the non-AMG cars. Not for snobbery, or power, or prestige, or style -- I just like the whole AMG-tuned package better.
I do tend to be farily elitist, or demanding in my car choices, because I am an enthusiast, and because I can afford to be.... The AMG MBZ's are the one brand of 'normal' or passenger cars that I will have a garage-load of in my residences around the world -- and that really does say alot(!).

We have a few of the AMG's here. All with the 6.3 and I will say they all are TRUE AMG's with all the dressings.
