R-class has awesome fit and finish

you may not like some of the plastic-ky parts that are now in Jags/MBs/and even VW's, but I wholeheartedly disagree and feel it is extremely well put together. Kudos to 'bama...they got it right this time.

They've got alot riding on that plant. One of the latest and greatest, supposedly. And they just spent a billion dollars expanding it(!). I expect they'll do a great job -- or else!

I have sat in the R several times, and everytime I have been satisfied with how well it is bolted together.

Carpersn said it, you may not like the materials but it is well screwed together.

I personally don't think the fit and finish has a lot to do with where it's built.

Thank's for the support guy's. We do have alot "riding" on this plant, and we build quality at the process. The fit and finish has everything to do with where it's built. The people who build the car care and are proud of the job they do. Anyone can do a job, but only the one's who care do it the right way, the MB way.

Right On! whynot

I'm counting on you guys. I'm going to buy at least one ML, R, and GL.

And I am counting on you guys to not only kick a$$ on the cars that I get, but also the cars that everyone else around the world gets.

Time for this MB quality is down crap to die! To die screaming!

I must agree with whynot. We hear that saying all day and night "quality at the process" Thats why we build a great car its the people that work on them.
