Getting an 06 R-350
It's a Demo with 1800 miles. But it has a 5-year/100k mile warranty. Long list of options, including Obsidian Black paint, panorama Sunroof package, harman kardon audio, DVD rear center console, Navigation, Convenience and trim packages, 10-spoke 18" wheels, lighting package, and a few more things. I'll post pics later.
It cost 48,600.00.
I researched the car as used and it came back at around 53k TMV on Edmunds, so I think it was a good deal

In January of this year, I purchased a 2006 R500 Manufacturer's Demo with 3900 miles. It's the Sak's 5th Ave edition so it comes pretty well loaded. Paid 43K, sticker was 68K. You may want to check around on pricing.

I did check around and could not find anything lower. I guess you just got a better deal?
Went hundreds of miles (online of course) and still could not find something similar in price.

A super quick look on ebay:

--37,000

Both of these have a couple for thousand more miles than yours, and I didn't look at the options but you see my point? I'm sure if you look on www.autotrader.com or www.cars.com you can find some good deals out there. Both of these are 10,000.00 less than yours before even negotiating with them.
Good luck on your search, you're gonna love your R-Class

Thanks for the info, but you are correct. Neither of those have all the optional equipment I got on this one, not the right color, etc., and at least one of those was not a "new" car.
Thanks for trying to help though.

The R-Class, although hated by many MB enthusiasts, I an absolute pleasure to drive. As you can see, I also have an E500 and I find myself preffering the R alot of times. Don't get me wrong, my E is absolutely wonderful to blast around in, but for family hauling and weekend drives, my R500 is unbeatable.
Enjoy your purchase, you're gonna love it!

It's just not absolute pleasure to drive but the passengers' comfort is outstanding and incomparable to any thing out there. The second row bucket seats are the best with armrests, recline, and forward/backward sliding.
Happy driving and congratulations!

f-rod - Congratulations on a beautiful car. OB and Macademia is a nice combination with great contrast both from outside/inside. I see that you got BiXenon . . . that is so COOL. If you are like me, you'll find excuses to take/drive the car at night to see the moving/floating head lights.
I'm surprise your dealer still got an '06 around as a new/demo. Enjoy the ride.

Roadblock Protection
f-rod - I am somewhat indecisive about front end roadblock protection (ie. clearbra). Please share your info/experience. If you dont mind, how much you're paying? Even the headlights are protected?

My only reservation was the line that I thought would be visible. I looked at a few cars with it and only on light colored cars can you really see it. On a dark colored car you can see it if you look closely and/or if you are not careful to brush off the residue after waxing.
I weighed that against the inevitable pock marks and it seemed like a no brainer.
The dealer wanted $590 for the job. I asked around and got an installer refered from Roadblock; now, HE wanted $695 for the front and mirrors, plus $100 for the headlights. He gave me a $50 discount for doing both, totalling $745.
So I went back to the dealer. I think it can be a DIY job, but I don't have a lot of time nowadays.
Roadblock advertises covers for the lower panels and doors, and for the top (area just over the front wind shield). I may get the ones for the lower panels and DIY them later.
Anyway, I think that for a new car it should be worth it. I should have done it for my 430...the hood and the headlights have a lot of pock marks.
