Toyo Proexes 265/45/20 all the way around and has been lowered.
The ride is like being on Sport Mode all the time. You can tell the difference coming from 18" with 65 series tires. For those who have have not been before the upgrade say that it's quite comfortable for such a low stance.

And to those who were in it before, says that they can tell that it's stiffer, especially when sitting in the 3rd row.

For me, it's just right.

Thanks.

R500 Saks 5th ave.
Very nice ! Thanks for all the info. and pictures. I went ahead and ordered the 20" O.Z. canyons w/ Continental contact UHP's 275/45/20, I went with a little taller sidewall and didn't want to go with the a summer sport tire, just to keep the ride soft. But the tires are "y" rated so they have to be somewhat performance oriented and treadwear is 420 which is pretty high. The only tire that was available with a higher treadwear was the bridgestone dullers which I think was 480. But I had good experiences with the Continentals. Will post pics once I get them.

I'm seriously considering the Mandrus wheels in 19 or 20's also. I did see that the offset on those wheels are a little less than what's required for the R class. Have you had any issues with using a lower offset?

If you mean rubbing issues...none at all in all types of turns.

I'll tell you what else dropped...my mouth! My god is that a sweet ride. I'm thinking of replacing my ML with an R, they have a tough time selling them where I live and are always offering great deals on them, this might have just put me over the edge.

Does the R - Class fair well with men? When I was at the dealership looking into the ML the dealer said that the R - Class was being advertised to a more soccermomish type of crowd

Sublime,

From what I've seen throughout this forum, the R-Class fares very well with men. I'm 60 and live in the DC metro area. I feel quite the man when I'm driving my Pewter R500 on the weekends and the few weeknights when I'm chauffeuring my wife from place to place.

To me, there is nothing "van-ish" about the R-class.

Maybe it was the dealer being a dealer..saying anything he thinks I want to hear..

C63, GL450, Panamera S, lots of little British leakers
That's a great look...
It puts the R right down in the weeds and negates any "soccer mom" connotation!
