Black R-class looks like a hearse?
I am about to buy an R-Class and initially wanted a black one...until my wife stated that it looked like a hearse. Now that she mentioned it, I can't get the image out of my head. Anyone else ever get that comment? I am probably going to get the silver one now...

I absolutely love the black (except for cleaning it), and when I think of MB, I always think black cars. I would get nothing else.

Absolutely looks like a hearse. Our salesman said he begged the dealership manager to get the black one they had in the showroom out of there because it was killing sales. My wife ended up with Silver ('06 R500) with black interior. Other than silver seems to be the most popular color and you see a lot of them (relatively speaking, since there aren't that many R's on the road) she loves it.

Does this look like a hearse to you?

I have a white with black interior. Benzo's black R is one of the nicest I have seen because of the mods he has done to it. Stock R's in black are a little hearse-like. If you're going to make a few mods to it, then I think it will look nice. stock- not my favorite. I have never owned a white car, always black or silver, but thought the white looked the best in the R-class. Matter of personal preference.

yes, the fourth picture, the one from the side view looks like a hearse...(no artistic camera shots taken at an angle to hide the general shape.)

When I first saw it, it reminded me of the ones that the funeral homes use in Hong Kong. It most certainly looks like a hearse. It large enough to carry one. I don't know why funeral homes don't use the R class yet.

Funny you should say that, most R class cars sold in Norway are sold as hearses, 4 of the 5 funeral directors in my town use them, the 5th has a custom caddy.

with Halloween coming up, it would probably be cool to stick a coffin/ice box and some boom boxes in the back a la Monster Garage (is that show still on?).
