Is it worth it?

Hello guys I'm new here. I'm looking at purchasing a used R500. Found one an 06 with everything but Xenons & Dvd. Retailed at 66,850, it has 6800 miles and I can buy it for 39k. Does that sound like a decent deal? Anything I should pay attention to when looking at it and driving it?

Sounds good to me. Got ours with 1700 miles on it in 11/06 for 46k with a 63k msrp. Sticker price did not mean alot for 06' since there was a huge price change soon after release. The 500 is a great engine and for that price that's a good amount of car. Check ebay for market value. Is it warrentied to 100k miles? Throw that in and it's a deal.

Price seems reasonable, if dealer can throw in extended warranty, something like 7-year / 70K miles (why not, car is still low in mileage but may only have little more than 2 more years of warranty).

R500 seems to be a good value for this price, but only if you want/need/desire for such powerhouse . . . with POOR mileage, relative to R350 and R320.

You stated that it doesnt have Xenon! Does it have parktronic (parking sensors)? backup camera? These are other things that lots of R owners who bought and regretted not having. Retrofitting these are either impossible and/or pricey, risky, not working at all. Navigation is another must have, but this an easy dealer upgrade (cost is $1600 - $2000).

I believe if you can still find a stock '07 (new car on dealer's lot), with options that you want/desire, and be flexible on colors, you can get at least 10% off (easily), or 12% off (doable with some patience), or even up to 15% off (possible with an agressive dealer).

Bottom line is what are your comparable options? Find them and go with the most attractive to you.
