2007 R350 - P01- Black on Black, 2008 Toyota Sienna Limited
I've seen a few on Ebay, and a quick visit to Etrailer.com came up with this...
http://www.etrailer.com/hitch-2007_M...-Benz_R350.htm
The part that scares me is the note at the bottom of the page that says:
No drilling required for hitch installation, Minor trimming of plastic trunk pan required
Tech Tip: See dealer for wiring harness. Models with Panoramic Roof Package may require drilling.
A little too vague for my comfort level

Here's what they are saying:
1. The hitch attaches to existing mounting holes... no drilling. (Good)
2. The hitch protrudes through the plastic valance, which must be trimmed back for clearance... (no big deal... use a box cutter or hobby knife).
3. Pano roof cars may require drilling. The pano roof cars have additional bracing underneath. (Ask for photos, so you can see how involved this is).
4. Wiring... see your MB dealer. The "bus" wiring system used on modern MB's and BMW's means you cant just tap in to a wire and add an extra load... the computer sees it as a fault or short. Other threads have indicated that the factory ML trailer wiring harness works fine on the R. (plug and play?)
I haven't done an R, but I've put Reese and Draw-Tite hitches on BMW's... they fit as well as the factory hitch. cost less, have complete, comprehensive instructions with photos, and are well within the scope of the average backyard mechanic with hand tools and an electric drill.
