Frustrated and disappointed owner!

Well it has been fun in the beginning up until now.
I currently have 12K, purchased it new.
First problem, rattling in all 4 doors. After 4 visits to a Keenan Mercedes in Doylestown PA it was resolved. They kept fighting me on this problem telling me this is normal.
How can this be, I purchased it knew with out any rattle in doors. Turned out something with windows and regulators. Rear hatch is not working properly. If not used for some time it will only open with my help. Now my R350 sounds like a diesel after driving for a long time at idle. Sounds like something it taping. I have only used a premium fuel. My service adviser tells me it sounds excessive comparing to other R350 that thy have and it is probably a solenoid. He sounded confident and told me it will probably take one day to fix. Well after 2 day this M@#$#F@#R calls me and sass “there is no problem it is a normal sound, gate has no problems works perfectly for me”
I told this BS, when I purchased it, it had no sound and gradually got to this unacceptable taping that it has now. This is not a diesel and how can you tell me that this is normal? He sass well there is nothing that I can do for you.
Should I get attorneys involved, I’m thinking this is a lemon!!!!

2008 R350 & 2008 C300
Sorry to hear about your problems..nothing is ever perfect. Had mine less than 500 miles and burnt up the heater fan ha ha, that was sort of my fault and sort of not. The whole car was covered in ice and there was no way of removing it without damaging the car, at any rate it was covered under warranty. To add to your problem check out this post from the C class board, the C350 uses the same engine as the R350 and could be the cause of your problem.

The rattles I would definitely pressure the dealer to fix it, somethings got to be causing it to rattle. Regarding that diesel sound I think its normal, every Benz I droved or had a ride in all have that unique sound weather from V12s to 4 cylinder loaner cars that my dealer gave me.

Sounds like a diesel

I have to agree that mercedes engines do sound like diesel engines. My C36 and my current C230 engines at idle sounds like they are diesel engines.

That is not a case here.

I have owned this Mercedes "China Chip like PS" from new. It had no motor taping noise in a beginning. Now it has. You are use to BS from MB people. It is unacceptable and this is what people told to think like. My 1996 S500C 132K has no sound no taping noise out side ore inside. That is MB quality in a past. No more. Chip china mentality is taking over. Brainwashing is on a rise

13,000 miles from new and engine is still very quiet, no tapping at all.
No build issues either. Got another MB dealer you could go to?

Coming up on 38,000 miles in my '06. No diesel sounds here. In fact when I pulled into the gas station yesterday, a guy at the next pump was surprised. He said he couldn't even hear my car, it was that quiet.
