Engine cover Removal R320

Has anyone tried to remove the engine cover on their R320?? I have tried to remove mine but all I can do is pull up on the engine cover on the front, but it is still stuck in the back. I have no idea on how to remove the rear of th engine cover. I am trying to remove it to install a Diesel Powerbox. Thanks

If it is like a GL320, just pull up on the back two corners...it snaps off. To make it easier, install the box when the engine is cold.

The only issue with the R-class is that I cannot reach the rear of the engine cover. Only the front half of the enigne is exposed under the hood in the R class, the other half is wedged under a metal piece that run left to right in the engine cover. I will post pics soon.

I guess you are talking about the strut bar.

Go as far back on the cover as you can and firmly pull up on both sides...it will snap off.

You will be attaching the performance box plug wires at the end of the passenger side fuel rail which is just about between the strut bar and the firewall.
