Lease ending soon...should I buy?

We are very happy with our 2006 R350 with parktronic, HK audio, premium package and sirious radio. Our residual is $38K I believe. Is anybody have any luck negotiating a lower buyout? It seems market value is closer to $30K and that is about all I would be willing to pay. Has anybody had the dealer CPO it and sell it back?

Your car will probably net about $25K for MB from the dealer auction. I do hear some dealer is willing to track and buy the car from the auction for the customers and then sell it back to them. You may want to check. I think you should be able to get it for less than $30K.

You may also want to check the R-class discussion on Edmunds.com and it is talking about the same thing.

Lastly, look up the the auction price here: https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...=240316&page=4

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like people are getting MB to offer them $10K off the residual with no hassle.

I've heard $5k for another model. $10k...wow.
