Finished the DVD install today, connect sound to aux input, but getting a lot of static noise, doesn't sound as good as I've expected.

I suggest that you try to use a good shield audio cable or ground loop isolator.

I installed the Rosen 2 dvd headrest into my 07 R350. It is the set that has to sit behind the headrest because they are active headrests. They custom match the interior and look and work real nice. I ran the wires to the trunk and connected at the fuse box. It was very easy and I thought much less work then removing the center console. They each play dvd's or you can watch one on both sets, or you can play one of 25 pre loaded games with the included wireless controller. Sound works by strong built in FM modulator or wireless headphones that will play sound from either side at the same time. I am very impressed with the whole setup and it is way nicer then the overhead we had on previous vehicle.

Sorry to jump into this thread all late and off subject (its so late I am not sure if anyone will see this) but I was searching for instructions to get into the center console of our 2009 R350 to retrieve a set of keys that vanished in that and I came across this thread. I am going to use the photos posted to hopefully get into it and avoid the shop cost of doing it for me. I may post back about my experience. Thanks.
