Notice and difference in MPG between "Comfort" and "Sport"?

Hi there fellow R-enthusiasts,

I've just bought a R350 and was reading through all the manuals over the week-end. I was wondering whether anybody has noticed a difference in the fuel consumption/MPG in "Comfort" vs. "Sport" mode?

Thanks,
Lars

I am also curious about the difference. I notice that "sport" mode really make R350 sportier feeling, while "comfort" mode seemed like R350 is a bit lack of power...

Just bought an R350 too. I was told in Comfort mode it starts out in 2nd gear and upshifts quicker. I'm pretty sure the mpg will be less in Sport for obvious reasons. FWIW, I'm getting around 16-18 mpg in Sport mode and I'm not being conservative with the pedal.

In my experience, the Comfort mode seems to be better by 2 miles per gallon. I usually drive from NY to Boston and back. At comfort mode, I get 24 mpg. When I switched to sport, it's 22 mpg for the same trip. But then again, I tend to press the pedal harder on sport mode.

BallJack,
Thanks - that was exactly what I was looking for. I'll try to experiment a little with it and report back what my observations are.

Thanks,
Lars
