Power difference in '06 and '07 R500?
I test drove a 06 and 07 R500 last week. Bought the 07 b/c I liked the color, options and newer year. But, my husband and I both noticed that the 06 seemed to have a little more power, engine seemed to rumble a little bit more. The decision was hard (coming off an M5, so I liked the feel of the 06) but the 07 won out.
Has anyone else noticed this? Did they tone down the engine between those years? Maybe it was just those two particular cars...
Thanks. AJ

Were you in the same shifting mode? There is a button on the center console that's "c/s". If you change to "S" mode, the car seems to have better response and "engine rumble a little bit more".
Also, are they on the same size rim. 18" and 19" rims and tire sizes may make differences as well.

Both were in Sport and I'm pretty sure that the rims were the same size. Oh well, I guess I just need to accept the fact that my R is no M5
and learn to *not* have to pass everyone. It's still pretty sweet though...
