I have the older black keys. Can I get the newer chrome keys that sold on ebay to work on my 06 R350?

Nope, keys that work are dealer only.

You can go back to the dealership and get replacement keys that would be the new housings with chrome, but be prepared to shell out some serious cash. Thought I remember seeing a quote here of well over $100 bucks for a new key.
