Preset Stations via Stearing Wheel on 06 R500
Are you able to change present FM/AM stations via the stearing wheel controls? Went to the settings menu, hit vehicle and i don't see the Preset/Frrequency option available. Thanks,

I don't play with those buttons on steering wheel but did ask my husband and he claims you can change stations up and down but no option for the preset buttons.

no...only seeks stations up and down...not presets...

Apparently there's a software update you can get done to it, according to Steve (benzNL)...but I haven't been able to get it done.

Thanks for the post!
I am working on this issure right now! I am taking it in to get the upgrade to command center. Based on everything I have heard this should resolve the problem. Then I will be able to scroll throught the presets using the controls on the steering wheel.

2006 R500 Red w/Tan interior
I had my 2006 R500 in the shop for the last week and asked about the upgrade to the Command Unit, they told me there was no such thing. Any details I should tell them next time I am there to help them find it?

Sorry it took so long to get back to all of you. I was out of town for a few weeks and had limited access to internet. But the previous post is correct. No such thing as an upgrade to the command center. It really sucks that you cant scroll through the presets. To add insult to injury, they put the preset buttons as far away from the driver as possible. All you can say is leave it to those funny Germans!!

Is this only a issue on 06's? Because there is a setting in the multifunction dash screen, which allows you to toggle between tuner and presets in our 07 350.

2007 R-500
The 07 R500 allows scrolling through the presets using the steering wheel buttons. I use it daily.
