Radar Detector Hardwire
Ran my passport radar detector hardwire to the passenger fuse box to hardwire and cant find a positive lead that isnt controlled by the ignition, any suggestions? The fuses seem to always have power?
I couldnt find a good positive lead in the overhead light cluster/sunroof controls either. Either place would be great. Thanks

12V lighter plug in the center console is the only one any of us has used up front. I like you went to the passenger side fusebox as I didn't feel like taking apart the console to get to the plug

Take the center console apart and splice the wire directly to the cigarette plug.
OR
Run the wire to the rear trunk fuse block and buy a splice fuse block from any Auto Part store to plug in the fuse block. (I think it is 15Amp fuse number 46)

Just fyi...when i put my radar detector on the winshield, I realized it wasnt working for ****...untill i put it into the 2 spots where there was no IR coating. Then it worked.
