Paddle Shifters on 07 R500
My wife keeps accidentally hitting the paddle shifter buttons on the steering wheel. She called me on the cell phone and told me the car was making strange noises. I told her to look at the dash and see what drive number she was in. Sure enough, she was in 3rd gear with the engine at probably at 4000 rpm.
One solution would be to disable her but is there any way to disable paddle shifting on the car?
Thanks

Is there a legal way to accomplish this?
All kidding aside, I don't think there is a way to disable the shifters other than possibly mess with the actual switch inside the steering wheel.

take the airbag out and unplug the shifter
...but not sure it will throw any errors on your dash...hopefully somone can chime in. This is how it looks inside your steering wheel there are 2 connectors for your shifter. It is not your steering wheel but it will looks similar to this,

Maybe if you make some small casings that fit just covering the shifters so preventing her pressing the shifters. Use some good glue just a drip or some double sided tape and thus it's also easy to remove when selling the car
