what part is this
I would like to know what part this is, i found this under the false floor by the left of the spare tire.
It is in a plastic enclosure which is mounted very loose and hence makes rattling noise which going on not so smooth roads.
how to fix this?

I'm going to take a wild guess, do you have a power lift-gate? If so that's probably the hydraulic pump that raises and closes it. Scary as it looks like the same hydraulic pump that was troublesome and used on my old R129 SL500 for the retractable soft top.
I would like some clarification for sure as on the R129 that pump needs to have a fluid change at some point (See the white tank to the left of the pump that looks like it has a fluid in it)
