The exterior looks amazing, but then I'm already an owner of an R class, so I may be a bit biased. The update looks really good, seems like they took their time on this one, sometimes they get a bit lazy with refreshes and just do bumpers, wheels and headlights and call it a day.

The interior is a bit of a let down. I realize the interior got a lot of updates for the 2009 model year, but they could have done a better job seeing how the outside looks so much different. I did notice that it got the ML seats, which I figured it would and it appears the gauges have a bit of a new look to them, but other than that there isn't much of a difference. (I'm guessing the wood wheel is an option still)

as I understand not many changes occur from year to year until they

No thanks! Three years from now I'll buy it for 1/2 price...I just purchased a fully loaded, one owner 08 R350 with 27k miles.

I stole it for $26K...original sticker was $52K.

Apon further reading..I have noticed they did some upgrades to the interior. Not very many, but there are some there, like the new gauges and the paddle shifters. That website however mentions 3D effects? Guess I'll have to wait to see it in person to figure out what those are lol.

Has the 2011 R arrived at any dealerships yet? I read that the production began on June 28 at the expanded Alabama plant. They should be showing up soon.

Just an update on my last post. The 3D effects they are referring to are with the command system. Looking around on some of the other boards and found that theres an updated command system in the works that displays 3D maps ect.

As for when it will start showing up, I have no idea. That article on the website said they should have been in showrooms in July. I have to think they want to get rid of any inventory they have stocked up at the plant before they start releasing the 2011 volume. Although I'm sure if someone ordered a 2011 they would take delivery of it as normal, so a few should start showing up soon.

Funny is that there is currently no huge incentive to clear out all the R-class inventory.

No incentives because there is virtually no 2010 R inventory anywhere.

There are quite a few 2010 R classes left on lots, they just might not be in your area.

The expansion at MBUSI is on plant I, the 251 is built in plant II.
June is when the 2011 started rolling off the line for customer orders.

There sure aren't many in the Phoenix metro area. The 4 MB dealers here have a total of 3 new 2010's.
