Cupholders in the UK

I'm the proud owner of a 6 seater R320 '06 in the UK but have a couple of gripes I'm hoping you guys on the other side of the pond can help me with.

I HAVE NO CUPHOLDERS !!!! This drives me mad as I love coffee and my 4 children like to bring drinks along on journeys too.

I brought this up with my dealer who says the parts I'm wanting are only available in the US so can anyone confirm this and perhaps give me a lead on how I can get these parts imported to install in my R ?

The things I'm after are the cup holders that sit in the back of the centre console ( pic attached ) and also the cupholders that are directly in-front of the armrest ( pic attached ). In the UK the front cupholders are a third flap/cubby hole that's useless.

Can anyone help ? I'd be interested in seeing anyone's better pictures too.

Thanks in advance

Si

I see the 3 in the front and 2 in the rear to put your cups.

What's your definition of a cup holder?

1. Sign up to EPC online, http://epc.startekinfo.com/epc/subscribe.jsp. It's free for a year.
2. Search the US Ebay site to find a VIN for a US spec R-Class.
3. Put the VIN into EPC, and find part numbers you need.

I'm not sure what your getting at, in the front of my R I have a cubby hole that had an arm that if supposed to move and hold a cup but it doesn't, it's useless and in the back I simply have a blank.

I've attached a picture of what I have in the front.

Hi BigladUK, did you finally get the bracket type cup holder in your photo? I am also looking for that and I found from ebay that the part number is 2516800814. But the strange things is no MB parts dealer can find this part number in their system, and they claim that this part is nto mentioned in any MB drawings...

Lots of differences in Europe. In North America we all have 3 rows of seats - in Europe you have an option to have two rows of seats and suit-case sized floor storage that lifts up - similar to the rear lift up panel over the spare.

Im in Australia and i have the same console as yours.

The 2nd row blank should be available as an option from the dealership.

My front row console cup holders seem to work fine but i havent had a need to access the armrest lid whilst having coffee in the holders.

I spent weeks looking into various part lists, using US spec VIN to search, and I keep getting the attached picture (with list of part numbers). The part "190" should be where the drawer-type cupholder is but it does not look too much like it (would expect MB to at least show a picture of it opened), so am reluctant to order it. Would really appreciate if someone who knows the correct part number can share the info with me...

I am in the UK and my R was also lacking the rear cup holder unit. My local MB dealer ordered one in as a standard part and fitted it in less than 10 mins.

Try your MB dealer first.

Hi BigladUK,

Could you please help with the instruction on how to install the rear cup holder? I just got the parts, thanks!

Where did you source yours from? My dealer said they were a discontinued item.
