Thumbs up Hi from new owner of 08 R350!

Have been a regular visitor to this forum for a couple of months before pulling the triggeron a pre-owned 08 R350. Capri Blue/Marcadamia with Premium 2 package (including Pano roof, Navigation, dual memory seats and rearview camera), Heated Seats and Rear Entertainment System. Very nice option and condition (very difficult to find one with P3 package on the market). It will serve as our primary family hauler.

Initial impression - very smooth driving, cruising and nimble manoevering (drives more like a full size luxury car than a SUV/minivan) for its size with ample space. Very quiet on the high way. Kids love the Pano Roof. Power/Acceralation is adequate for its purpose (Can't compare to my SL600, but that is expected). The inside is typical Mercedes. The only negative observed so far is some rattling noise when going over bumps.

First task is to get an MB bluetooth dongle to enable bluetooth (part # B67875878). Since it is under manufacturer's warranty, I will also take it to my local MB dealership to fix a couple of minor things (rear entertainment system remote does not seem to work). I also found that I could not seem to be able to activate TPMS to display tire air pressure following owner's manual. Anyone has any suggestions?

I did quite some research on different makes and models, and finally decided on R Class. Just want to thank everyone for the very practical information posted on the forum that helps me in making the decision, and I look forward to sharing my personal experience of the R350 with everyone in the future!

Congats and Welcome!

The only question I have any direct knowlege of is the TPMS. Some R's have true TPMS with sensors in the wheels and some have an indicator in the dash that you reset when tire pressures are at a known correct point. When the pressure drops in one or more tire, it triggers an alert. Works well as it correcty identified a slow leak in ours caused by a nail recently.

Thanks a lot for your response.

Will bring it to MB dealer tomotrrow to have it checked for a few minor things. I will report back.
