Are there any recalls for the 3.5L? Or any common faults that are not being addressed by the dealers?

Ask the dealer to run informational bulletins for your model.
They should be able to see what's out there and what your car might need.
It should be for free.
I know that my 08 needed something done because my "check oil" message kept coming up.
