Keyless Go Start/Stop Push Button

Hello All,
Im new to this site and as well just bought me a 2008 R350. I did not have the Keyless Go Start/Stop Push Button in the ignition. I saw the buttons on ebay and wanted to know, if I bought the button will it work for my car and or do I have to program anything or just put it in the ignition slot.

Thank You
PS.
So far I love my car.... My cheek are hurting from smiling for 24 hrs now

If your car is not equipped with Keyless-Go the button itself will be nothing more than an expensive piece of metal. Save your money. There is much more to the system than the ignition button

Go to your local Mercedes Dealer parts department and give them your Vin Number and they can tell you if your car has Keyless go or not. That's how I find out for my car.

You can also check your door handles. If they are equipped with a small lock button then you do have Keyless Go. This button will be present on all four doors.

^ I was referring to the outside door handles.
