Third Row Shades?

When I was in Germany in 2006 I remember the R-Class (V251 long) that I sat in at the dealer had the 2nd row sunshades in the door panels as well as third row shades that are static. I was wondering if anyone knew the part number for those or if they had access to a European R-Class Accessories catalog could look it up for me. I'd like to source these parts. Perhaps if someone is in Europe they can contact the dealer for more info.

Unfortunately the German R-Class brochure that I have for the 06 model year as well as the R-Class Collection brochure that I have don't show such an item.

Thanks!

Thanks SOOOOO much!!! Do you have these on your car?

After doing a Google search for this part number, it doesn't seem like anyone has this. Only a bunch of links to mbspecialist.com in different languages and a diagram picture (no actual product photos).
I'll contact a dealer and see what they say.

I believe it's integrated into the door panel. So, i don't think it's gonna work unless you option it from the start.

I'm referring to the third row which is add on. But you're right, the 2nd row is built into the door panel. I'm also contemplating retrofitting those (new door panel and roller mechanism plus upper trim to hold the shade up).

Hmm $476 for one and $503 for the other, special order from Germany.
Any other less costly sources?

Just curious where you got the part number from. Do you have access to these shades? From what I understand these are simply fixed shades but the parts worker suggested they may be power of it's that price. Any thoughts?

Ordering using these part numbers probably means you need to also order the SIX required brackets (shown in attachment).

Euro dealers probably can order "kits" with B6xxx part number that includes everything.

In any event, it could prove useful to get another price quote from http://www.speed-autoteile.com

Thank you Ikchris. I just sent them an email.

I too thought there'd be an accessory kit but I cannot find that information in any accessory catalog from the US nor the current accessory catalog in Germany.

Do you happen to have the diagram for the door panel assembly? I'd like to see all the part numbers required to do a second row sun shade retrofit. (new panel, shade, trim piece, etc.) Thanks in advance!

In regards to the third row shade:
Got a reply from speed-autoteile and they said a retrofit wasn't possible and that it was only offered as a factory option. I'm inclined to only believe the later because it appears really easy to retrofit. But by having it be an option and only available in some markets, that can explain why there's so little information about this out there and how it's not in any accessory catalogs.

But then you'd think it'd be shown in the German car brochure from 2006 (where it's not listed).
