Amber Light Delete/ Part Number Help

Hi,
I have a US Spec R63 with the amber lights. I'm thinking about having the front bumper repainted and would have the shop fill in the corner parktronic holes so they can be relocated to where the Euro spec cars area on the impact strip: http://www.carondesktop.com/d/16388-...63_AMG-556.jpg (note parktronic hole is at the end of the impact strip instead of having an amber reflector there). I was wondering if anyone has the part number for this trim piece on both sides of the bumper.

Thanks!

I am thinking about the same thing. But I was looking for clear markers or just getting a paint match and spray painting them.

I managed to source the Euro parktornic cover (as seen in my avatar image).

No one makes any aftermarket lights for this car. Your only choice is OEM and there's three options.

1. North American amber light (the one your car probably has now)
2. European Parktronic cover primed and ready to paint body color
3. European cover for non parktronic models primed and ready to paint body color

Effect 3. can be achieved with the amber light, sanded (to remove the letters) and painted body color. Keep in mind US cars with parktronic have the corner sensor located in a different location than Euro models.

Never was a fan of the clear lights myself. I'd much rather paint body color and hide it rather than drawing attention to it with smoked/ clear covers.

If you look up evosport in Houston, Tx they have the euro bumper reflectors for all 63 AMG cars. It's just the lens replacement that's already pre-painted to match your bumper. A simple pop-out/pop-in swap. Still expensive, but cheaper than replacing the whole bumper.

Those reflectors that they sell are the exact same as using your existing ones and having a local shop paint them. It'd also be somewhat more cost effective as you can reuse your old ones for the repaint rather than buying new ones.

I also somehow doubt they'll have R Class ones in stock.
