Recommendations for carpeted floor mats?

I've search the site, and found a couple of threads on floor mats, but I thought I'd direct this specifically to R owners to see what people are using.

I'd like some nice looking carpeted mats for the fair weather months. Anyone have any suggestions for mats they've been happy with? I am most concerned with fit (most floor coverage), wear, and color. (Uh, I guess there isn't anything else to be concerned about, is there?)

Suggestions? (I've got the Macadamia interior with bench 2nd row, no console).

I have the OEM rubber floor mats for all three rows and I like it. They're easy to clean and I don't have to worry about stains.

Thanks. I am definitely going to get those for the winters. But I'd like some carpets for the summers.

I guess I'll ask the obvious, what's wrong with the stock ones?

I dunno. Maybe nothing.

I bought my R used, and I don't know whether they carpets that are in it are OEM. There's no logo on them. But I only have the fronts and the third row. I need second row mats, so I am going to have to replace the whole set in order for them to match.

Frankly, until I stopped into a dealership today, I didn't even know if there were OEM carpets available as replacements. I haven't found any source on line that offers them. Everyone seems to offer only the all-weather mats.

So, now that I know I can get a set of OEM MB carpets, maybe that's the best option. Is it?

Yes OEM floor mats are purchaseable. The older R had carpeted mats with an indented square pattern on the surface. It looks like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-R35...30e606&vxp=mtr

This may be an inaccurate stock photo but it's possible that the facelifted R has carpeted floor mats with a metal Mercedes-Benz logo which IMO looks much nicer than the old one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-OEM-...r#ht_500wt_922
(but then again that can just be an inaccurate stock photo) The second link has a part number listed so you can talk to your dealer about it.

Check out Coco mats. I have them in the CLK and will put them in the R (when the velour ones wear out). Old classic look, and they are really well made (real Coco Mats, not the imitations). Shake 'em out to get rid of sand, dirt, etc., rubber bottom for protection of your carpet. Don't know if they'd feel real good under bare feet, but might remove calluses.

Yes, this is what I have in the front and third rows, the indented pattern mats. Don't see those anywhere anymore.

I suspect that's what I'd be ordering from the local dealership. I think I have come across that ebay posting, but two things made me skeptical - one, that picture is definitely not java, and two, the part number doesn't work on any of the parts websites.

Thanks for the links and the suggestions. I think I'll just order some OEMs from the dealer, and see what I get.

Good luck and please report back what you find. I'd like to know if the new floor mats have the MB metal plate in them. The "Q" part numbers are accessory part numbers so that may be the reason it won't work on parts websites.
