Second question - sunroof
Separate issue, separate thread...
My sunroof doesn't open - sounds like the gears are stripped or skipping, and I'm guessing that they are part of the motor assembly... (tell me if I'm wrong). Has anyone here replaced theirs who can give an idea of difficulty? (FWIW, the shade seems to operate just fine).

i have the samme trouble with mine...
i have heard its a new cable set, but im might be unlucky and then its 2 new motors and cable set.
If you go to a dealer in EU, then they charge 5000 $ for the repair.
ive heard its a major job to fix.
but im very interrested to hear if you find out what the trouble is.
PS i also heard that it could be a lubrication problem, but i think its unlikely, taking the noise in mind

It's been -20 degrees here lately, so I haven't done anything with it yet... Will post an update when I have a look at it though.
$711 is certainly better than $5K if it comes to that..
