Mine also has the Bi-Xenon light package with corner tracking headlamps, side illuminating fog lights, and heated headlight washers. That appears to have been a very rare option.
Very rare indeed, have those options on mine and I don't see many in Barolo Red either.

ive noticed that those that were equipped with that package, has full air suspension. Im just trying to pick the right car. IMO, its hard to find some concrete information on the W251 chassis/options. I think thats what makes me want it more!!!
Airmatic doesn't worth all the troubles down the road. Two of my service advisors both asked me to stay away from ABC/Airmatic on all MB models.

Saks edition is pretty cool but be aware of the seat wears since part of it is suede and not fully cowhide leather. Stay away from the R350 version and I think it only comes in one color and I personally not a huge fan.

That is a good point, on my R500 I ended up replacing all around for the airmatic from Arnott.

One advice is "walk" if you don't find the car fits all your bills. Don't marry to the idea about "Saks Fifth Special Edition = good/rare). The only differences between "normal" and "saks" are the seats (suede/microfiber), inside trim (black instead of wood), wheels (from the ML class) and tinted tail lights. Otherwise, there are not much differences.

Also I thought most R500s came with Air struts on all 4 corners. I appreciate any info, I am planning on lowering but it would really suck if I cant raise her for driveways and things of that nature like my E55.
R63 was standard with full airmatic, all other models have it optional. You just have to find the right used car- a lot of cars don't have it equipped probably partially due to the fact that it was a $1,500 option.

Nah, my R500 isn't a Saks model. Not sure they even offered that trim package in 2007 or on the R500. And yes, there is precious little information on these cars on the web.

I think it may have been you who mentioned Barolo Red back when I bought my car in late December. Up to that point, the only colors I had ever seen around my area were Silver (~50%), Black (~30%), and White (~20%). I finally saw one Barolo Red R350 on I95 here in southern CT. Nice color! One Alpine Rain (light blue). OK color. And a couple of desert silver (tan or light brown). Not my cup of tea. I still haven't seen an R Class in Capri Blue (dark blue) or Everest Green.

I think outside of Black, White, Silver, all the other colors are pretty rare. At least that's the way it seems.

Pretty much, the only time I saw a Forest Green was around North Carolina area. Seems to be like a unicorn.

I run MAK wheels 22x10 ET50 with 295/30. They are just flush with the fender and IMO is perfect. No rubbing...

CLS55, a rare R-class
22x10 AMG replica wheels + Yokohama Parada 265/40/22.
Wheels are flushed (or sticking out 1mm or so) with the body which look nice.
Front wheels are barely rubbing the wheel well during FULL turn, still contemplating if I should bring it to a shop or let it be.

Ride is a bit harder than before, but mine is equipped with Airmatic so it actually makes it perfect now to be driving in NORMAL setting. I find it a bit on the soft side when it was on factory 19" AMG rims.
