Camshaft Position Sensor A

Now I went to the dealer and asked how much was a camshaft position sensor they printed up the quote but never told me that there was more then one (or am I mistaken?) I found a website that sells cheap MB parts and when I searched "Camshaft Position Sensor" it came back with 2 Part# 2729050043 and 2720510177 now one is $212.55 and the other $22.00 which one could it be? Does anyone know or have come across this before?
I would love to be able to finish this today
crankshaft sensor failure is pretty much common on most Mercedes. I'm Not sure if you have a r500 or r350.. I know that in both e55 and e500 the sensor is located on the back of the engine (between the engine and the firewall) on the driver side. It was a tight squeeze and should only be 1 bolt holding it in place. If you already have the sensor get yourself in that area and peek down to see what it looks like. Also on both cars i replaced the sensor from the top.
Hope this helps.
Here are a couple of links that might help, different engine but should be similar in location.

hey virtual not exactly sure what you're our asking?
the sensor connects to nothing. it just reads the pulse of the automatic flexplate.
or maybe your'e asking if this code is in relation to a bad balance of the actual crankshaft. its a possibility, but highly unlikely.
I already had the crank sensor in the back of my car because I bought it planning on changing it on my next oil change anyway, these things failing are just way too common, if I had the chance I'd replace mine every 60k just as preventive maintenance and since I just bought my R at 90k and no idea if it's ever been done I just got one to change it before a problem came up... friggin problem cam up before I even had a chance to swap it

anyway I changed it tonight and it's really not that much more difficult on the R. it is quite a bit deeper in there because of the cab forward setup, but once you remove the covers and climb up on the radiator support and really get in there it's not that difficult to do it right there from the top. I took a few pics so I'll put up a diy for this in a bit
