2008 R350 wont start EIS?
Hello, 2 weeks ago I had my oil changed. I went to the store afterwards, came back & tried to leave again hours later & my car wouldnt start. The dash is completely dead. Radio cames on, windows work. Just not handshake between the key & the ignition.
I went and got a new battery and it still didnt start.
I had a flat bed come pick it up & take it to my local mechanic. He said it may be the Ignition switch. I called roadside (saved me $80) to pick up and take it to the dealership.
They ordered a new key, which will arrive tomorrow.
If its not the key, it could be the EIS.
That part alone is $478 plus labor of $225 plus $200 for a new key. FML
