trailers full of R types crossing Indiana
I saw 3-4 full car trailers full of R types on them headed east this week. Each trailer had maybe 8 R types on them. I thought these were done here? Maybe being shipped back to Europe?

They are currently sold and marketed in China. They are manufactured by AM General under a contract for export.

Wonder what they are using in them for motors these days. They all show using a 3.0 liter so I'm guessing they are now only available with a turbo diesel.
Only thing is, back in the day the 3.0 liter V6 turbo diesel was making 210 hp / 400 ft-lbs torque.
The spec for the Chinese model is 272 hp / 295 ft-lbs for the R320 and 333 hp / 345 ft-lbs for the R400 (converting newton meters to foot pounds).
I wonder what the differences are...
BTW I'm finally the owner of a 11 R350 gas with P2 and 3 zone. Really liking it. Just concerned about the wife. She says not so much.
