Diesel to gas swap

Out of curiosity (or desperation) I was wondering if anyone successfully retrofitted a gas engine (V6 or V8) in to their R350 diesel?
I figure the fuel system, tank, pumps, filters are different but my biggest unknown is the computer system. Would the gas engine ECU talk to diesel chassis?
Not that I'm going to do it but... not too happy with my diesel...

No, you would need the entire gas engine harness and M/E, plus massive re-coding to tell every system in the car that it was now talking to a gas engine...

Budget 10-15k for the swap, possibly more depending on how many other modules are incompatible.

Just buy a gas R-class.
