2008 R350 rear squirter leaks

Anyone had to repair this before?

It pours fluid inside the trim, which drips down inside the back window. When I pulled it a part, there is evidence of bent clips and missing screws, so someone tried to fix it before.

I was able to remove and re-install the black fitting, but it still leaks. Is it missing an O-ring?

Thanks for posting!

I have a 2008 R as well, with this issue - but haven't taken the time to open everything up. Picture = 1000 words, right? Anyway, looking at this it looks like a single piece injection molding. I strongly suspect it is leaking from the hose connection. First thing I would try is a small zip tie.

And you would probably need the missing clip to hold it firm against the tailgate metal or trim where it attaches.
Might be best to get a new nozzle (It could be blocked, and may well come with the missing bits).
Here is a post with images about similar issue with an ML:

Try very small zip tie on the hose connection. If the nozzle is partially blocked it might raise pressure enough to leak at the other end of hose as well - which would be more work to access...

See here, issue on an ML-Class has images:

Thanks for posting image, I have this issue too!

The piece shown presses in to a molded rubber fitting, the same piece visible from outside the car.

I don't think it is leaking at the hose fitting, but I'll double check. Couldn't hold the squirt lever and see the fitting at the same time. : )

I think it is leaking around the piece shown, which inserts to a socket. It does click in to place, but it looks to me like it needs an O-ring.

Was also wondering if it was partially clogged. It sprays both sides of the window about evenly, inside and outside, so not a full clog.

Stopped by the dealer today, was hard to tell which part I needed. They have what looks like a nozzle and then the hose assembly for the door. With the low-rez picture, it was not clear.
Ended up ordering the nozzle. If it is not the right part, at least I can use it to see how the pictured part seats, and if needed, glue it in there with silicone.

Got the replacement part today- It's not an exact match, so I don't know if it will fit yet. Part no: A 251 860 07 47, for $20.
Appears to be a complete replacement for the snap-in squirter nozzle.

Going to be tough getting the old one out, it appears to be a snap in, but there is no access to the backside except though a smallish hole.

Got it installed- Had to break the old one to get it out. Was able to pull it out by hand a bit, driver's side first came loose, but the other side has a big clip I couldn't get to. Ended up snapping it in half, the remains are inside the door someplace.

But got it out and got the new one in. Put on a cable tie just to be paranoid too.

No leaks so far, so buttoned back up the trim.
