R350 issues
put my scan tool to it, it pulled U0002 High speed can communication bus performance, U0101 Lost communication with TCM.
I went into the modules to pull other events there were quite a few of them, 91B6 CAN controller. CAN bus OFF in the case of the fault Bus OFF the control module is isolated from the CAN bus because of major communication fault.
918E No CAN message was received from control unit N93 (Central gateway control unit)
918F No CAN message was recieved from control unit N93 (central gateway control unit)
9190 No CAN message was recieved from control unit N93 (central gateway control unit)
9191 No CAN message was recieved from control unit N93 (central gateway control unit)
9181 No CAN message was recieved from control unit N73 (EIS [EZS] control unit)
9186 No CAN message was received from control unit A1 (instrument cluster)
918B No CAN message was received from control unit N73 (EIS [EZS] control unit)
Seems like something is causing the modules to not communicate with each other. Could it be a short some wheres? A issues with the wiring harness? Bad ground? Bad alternator? Or could it be the central gateway module failing?
Should I still consider buying this? Or should I run from to the hills screaming?
Most cars have canbus. Does your dealership do repairs? If so ask the mechanic! He/she should know about Canbus!
There are generic canbus codes as well as manufacturer specific. Not all readers will be able to decode all MB specific issues. It may or may not be a canbus fault. Your reader may not be able to read them all.
Sometimes there is faulty communications. The general consensus on this forum is to bring it to a MB dealer.
