R500 Power Steering Pump Pulley removal?

Hello All,

About to on my new pump but I need to transfer the pulley. I tried to impact the bolt off but it doesn't budge. I am assuming it's counter clock to loosen, correct? Does this bolt need to come out or does it just press on? Confused as the new one doesn't look like it has a woodruf key. Pics of my old and new pump.

Please, any suggestions? It's my wifes car and she needs to go to work tomorrow.

Thanks, Leo

I've scoured the internet and can't find anything on this. I'm surprised no one has done the Power Steering Pump pulley.

Look inside the new unit and check to see which way the threads turn. You should be able to see whether it is reverse or normal thread.

Ended up that bolt doesn't remove at all. Machine shop used a special tool to remove it and press it on. Cost me $65, but it's sorted and installed and works beautifully.
