2008. Bought it CPO with30k on it. No issues at all. All maint done here at the house. Besides the alignments its only been in the shop once. That was about 3 weeks ago for an A/C diagnostic(s) with an evacuation and refill. Will it go another 100k? more than likely. The weak link is gonna be the timing chain and guides. Chain is an easy fix where as the guides are a little more labor intensive. We plan to keep it . Not very fast or agile but an excellent highway machine.

2006 R500, but recently sold it. The costs of keeping it in pristine condition was outweighing it’s value/use.

162,500 I don't know about the first 60,00 but the balance has all been put on running around town. Up until a recent engine light for a lean left bank all I have had to do is change the oil. Oh and it is a beast in the snow!

Got our R500 in Dec of 2005 I think.. or was it Dec of 06? Anyway, 147k on the clock, wife loves it and even though she's looked at newer vehicles, there is no getting her to change. About to swap out both front drive shafts. True snow tires for the winter in Michigan and like jmedeiros said, this thing loves winter!

Bought our 2009 R320 in November 2018 and kept her in Canada until May 2018. She is currently getting a second life in Greece and currently has ~230 000 km. Hope to keep her for another 10 years.

Any of these high mileage R-classes have regular transmission fluid changes? Just wondering because my '08 user's manual says nothing after the first one at 35k(?) miles. The later model year ones say every 40k as far as I know.

I would definitely change the tranny oil and diff oils every 40000 km. Small price to pay for peace of mind.

Yeah, only problem is I'm the 3rd owner and can't go back in time (or mileage) ... so just wondering about the high mileage cars and what maintenance regimen got them there.

Understood. However, if the tranny is shifting and acting good, then, I think you should do the maintenance regardless of the fact that you are owner number 3.

242k on 2007 R350
I have 242,000 miles on a 2007 R350. I bought it 6 months ago at 238k. But the service history and previous owners did a lot of normal service and some recall/preventative stuff. So far I've only done a new battery and fixed the rear gate handle/locking mech. Getting ready to do brakes and as of this morning I have a crank but no start situation I'll have to figure out.

129k Miles 08 R350
Well, I forgot to add that I have an '08 R350 with 129k miles since i don't consider it particularly high mileage. Hoping for a lot more miles but since I posted on this thread we started driving it much less (no longer for work). I did the tranny fluid change, btw. It was a pain. But the reason for the followup is I just couldn't believe the post with 275k miles issue free. Since we bought this car CPO+extended warranty at 73k mi, other than wear items, they have changed front shocks or struts (not air), power steering pump, rear air suspension (post warranty, so Arnot after-market), signaling stalk on steering, driver side door lock (after warranty), front right wheel bearing (myself). I may be forgetting some, but it definitely does NOT feel trouble free. Ok, maybe the bearing is a wear item, but dealer says "oil breather"(?) is leaking, transfer case needs resealing (to me barely seems seeping) and wanted to install a new version of ride level things or whatever .

Yea i know...maybe that High mileage R350 was an 2008 or greater...i know the 2007 models and under had alot of problems even breaking down under 100k ...Also all those wear items and more items you changed, was it for the 08" or the one that doesnt crank up ?
