newbie...

Hello everyone. I just joined and was hoping to see if anyone has any advice on the best option to add a rear view camera to a 2008 R550 with navigation. Ideally, I would like as close to an OEM as possible. I saw some where you have to add a monitor on the dash and some where you replace the rear view mirror (homelink?). Neither would appeal to me. Any suggestions? Thank you

If i were you i would upgrade to an aftermarket head unit. The options within an aftermarket unit is night and day compared to the COMAND. I just upgraded my 2007 R320 and couldn't bee happier. And i got a backup camera as well, love it.

thank you - was hoping to avoid going the replacement route - not sure if i would be willing to do that - what model did you go to, if you don't mind my asking? Would you be able to post a picture of what it looks like?

I went with the Pioneer AVIC-Z910DAB. I was thinking about OEM and trying to do what was possible with the COMAND system, but it is too old and i found that it would be a waste of money.
My car is a 2007 R320.
