Wiper blades??
Have any of you had trouble finding wiper blades that work well on your R? I have had my '08 R320 about 4 years now and have had nary a passenger side blade work well.
What works? Thanks!

Valeo makes the OE blades for the R, Both Bosch & Trico's are good too.
Do you remember what brands have you tried?
Are you using the curved premium blades?

We have only had the R for 2yrs. About 12mo ago I replaced whatever was on there- IIRC they were MB, with Bosch Icon from Amazon for $31/pr. Smooth, no skips or chatter.
Recently, I bought Aeros for our Forester and they have been very good. I may try those next time. They are much cheaper at $23/pr.

Take a look at your blade. sometimes the rubber dislodges from the metal guide strips.
But ditto on above suggestions. Valeo or Bosch work fine. I get mine from RM European .
Maybe lubricate the arm pivot?

So I had issues with chattering. I tried Bosch and mb blades and Valeo. I tried bon ami. I tried Bending. Nothing worked.
For me what fixed it was a new windshield. The old one was so pitted etc.
Yours. It looks like it just missing the entire part of it. Curved blades like the bosch aero twin are important.
You can try cleaning but I think your best bet will be is to slightly bend the arm. Gently.

THANK YOU!
Thank you all for your input, results are in-
kombifan is the winner! I am a fan of trying the cheapest method first as well. I bent the wiper arm and it worked
I intentionally didn't mention what blades I had used because I didn't want to descend into a blade debate right off the get-go. But to answer the questions:
1. Whatever beam blade was on the car when I bought it was shot, assumed it was old blades.
2. Tried Bosch Icons, missed spot was apparent right away.
3. Tried generic Tricos or something inexpensive, not beams. (RockAuto) They worked better than the Icons for a while, then developed the same issue.
4. Blades currently on the car are brand new Bosch Aero-Twins, missed spot was apparent right away.. With the bend they seem to work much better!
It's one of those things after you try it you say "Why didn't I think of that"... LOL
It will be nice to not have my wife complain how the windshield is dirty on her side
Thanks again, I will now be happy to debate the merits of various blades should anyone be interested any longer.

Blades from MB dealer work first time, every time, never a problem. You get what you pay for.

I bent the arm and it finally worked like it should. You almost have to bend it more than you like because obviously you don't want to break it but it is what solved the issue. Wiper blades are from rock auto the anco contour s for like 8 bucks each work great now.

Totally worth the price!! Can't believe I tried 3-4 different sets of blades... I think part of the reason I didn't try harder is because it was on the passenger side and didn't bother me much driving solo.

No video but basically I think I put my right hand on arm where it is curved/angled and then held arm down with left hand at end where wiper attaches and pulled up with right hand. Not sure why it does that in the first place but it worked for me.
