Rear suspension level difference

Hello all, my new 06' R500 has a large difference in rear suspension ride height. The right side air bag was replaced at the independent dealer with an Arnott but the left side is still original and from what I have read these should really be replaced in pairs so I am prepared to get another Arnott coming. This R500 just has Air suspension on the rear. I do not hear any leaks but have yet to spray the left air bag down. I don't recall seeing this discrepancy when I looked at the car and neither did a good friend of mine who came with. Supposedly the car was sent to a Mercedes dealer by the independent dealer I bought it from to have the Airmatic system calibrated after the right air bag was replaced but I have not seen a paper copy of that yet.

I am thinking of bleeding the air down at the manifold behind right headlamp to reset the air system and see what happens for now since I don't have STAR system yet to deflate and reinflate.

I am planning on changing out differentials and transfer case oils along with an oil change so I will so the air bag change then. I pulled the instructions off WIS and have the Arnott instructions as well.

That happened to mine and it turned out to be the leveling rods.

Were your leveling rod flipped 180 or were they bent?
Thanks!

They were seized at different levels. A fairly easy and cheap fix

My understanding is if you change the level sensors you have to use Star system to calibrate. I want to be corrected on this!

My guy did mine with no mention of calibrating anything. Just bolted them in. 20 min.

Yes, it's recommended to release all the air from the manifold in the engine bay so that the system / level calibrates.

Make sure you're in a level driveway.

Even using the Star diag tool... there is only one input... only one valve that operates both bags.

Thank you all for the replies! I will work on it this weekend and will bleed out at the manifold to reset both bags and I have an Airmatic air filter to change too. I have another Arnott bag coming to change out next month anyway so I know they will both be replaced.
