2006 r500 all 4 doors don't close
I have a 2006 r500 that I love very much until all of a sudden I cannot close the doors. My son tried to disconnect the battery but that doesn't work. What could be the problems? The shop we took the car in told us to change all 4 doors' actuators and the cost is 3000. Does it sound right? I just cannot understand how all 4 could fail at the same time.

Welcome! What do you mean that you can't close the doors? Do you mean you can't lock the doors? It sounds like an electrical connection or module is bad. Unlikely that all four actuators are bad at the same time.

Something electrical has failed. Take it to another repair shop. If they tell you that all actuators need to be replaced, then you have your answer.

Repair shops told us it was the actuators. Turns out it was the Keyless Go module that had shorted out when water got in the trunk and activated all of the latch releases in the doors. Got the water out of the Keyless Go module, let it dry, and it worked just long enough for the latch releases to reset back to normal. After that the Keyless Go module failed completely, time to find another replacement. Who knew that there was a motor to operate the latch release in the Keyless Go lock actuators...
