Blind Spot Assist

Hi All,

Just wondering currently my R300 MY11 does not have Blid Spot assist on the mirror. Can I upgrade it by buying A0009050210 radar sensor and plus just buy the glass on the mirror itself (A6322567) ?

Thank you

No - you may also need new door control modules, harnesses and for the car to be reprogrammed.

I’m not sure but I’ve read the car might also need Distronic for it to work as it uses the distronic sensors not the reversing sensors.

ok thanks once again, if it is too complicated then i can't be bothered at all. It will be costly
now i know its better to buy 2nd hand with full option - for next time

just a note... mine had blind spot assist but one of the sensors stopped working.. I disconnected the leds inside the mirrors. But I still get the Not working warning on the dash sadly.. and MB cannot de activate that.
However.. . what I have noticed is that now I am being much more careful checking my blind spots.. and feel it is much safer than relying on electronics....

Blind spot assist is an option. and it can be surely retrofited also. so asking to have the GUI de activated makes perfect sense to me. My car, not up to any tech to tell me what I can do.

I gather lawyers are behind it if anything.
