Transmission Temperature Using Torque Pro

Has anyone successfully gotten their w251 to show its tranny fluid temp over OBDII apps like Torque Pro?

They were able to do it for the W204 (see below)

Edit from another forum

Here are the Informations from Torque.
Transmission Oil Temperature PID that works 100% right for Mercedes W204:

PID: 2130
Min. 0.0
Max. 200.0
Scaling factor: x1
Device type: Celsius
Equation: L-50
OBD Header: 7E1

Mine is in the shop and I won't have access to it for another week or two but I wanted to see if I could avoid buying an expensive MBII just to check temperature while doing a ATF flush.
Ive also seen ppl using the IR thermometer method but I don't know how close it is to the onboard temperature readings or how low or high the fluid levels would be if it were a few degrees off.

Thanks in advance

I've used IR thermometer without issue - it reads surface temperature.
Given that the transmission pan is stamped metal sheet, I would doubt this method would be very close if not exactly what's reported to computers.

Still, I'll try that PID in torque - would be cool to be able to monitor when driving especially towing.

tried it today. Does not work. There are two transmission temperature feeds can be chosen on the list, but dials not showing anything..
