Update: Brake Booster Recall R350
Greetings,
My local dealership sent a mobile unit to inspect my R350's brake booster under the 2022 recall. I live in So. Cal. and do not travel much in the car. So, I was very surprised that the rubber sleeve around the booster had rust underneath. MB had stated that only 99% of the cars would have an issue. Thereafter, the tech performed a diagnosis test. 1st time it failed! Then, he said he will re-do the test. 2nd time it passed. Not really reassuring, MB USA. He did say that the brake pedal feel felt good.
Since I "passed", I get to drive the car for up to 2 years with this issue lying in the back of my head. Thanks MB! MB will contact me before 2 years for a follow up inspection. They should just replace the damn booster now and be done with it.

PS: I was surprised that the tech's list of clients for today's inspection had more R class than ML or GL. Interesting.
